Though I'd upload the finished toy-rocket I made.
It doesn't differ from the previous version a lot except from the lighting and so, but I think this picture is better so this is the one I turned in.
I hope I'll manage to learn Maya and become good at it because it's really fun!
It's like sculpting IRL but you don't have to get your hands dirty with clay. I seriously HATE clay, I hate getting dirty and I HATE HATE HATE having dirt under my finger nails. And in Maya you can, like, undo and redo. And duplicate stuff. That's not something you could do IRL with stupid clay, I don't like clay. Maybe I mentioned that earlier?
Now, I've only worked with clay like, one time and that was during my first year in high-school.
We were assigned to sculpt the head of one of our classmates, I still have mine (resembling Helen) placed on a drawer. It lost one of its ears during the removal from the mold, so it looks a bit funny.
So. Conclusion of this post: Maya is cool because it won't give you dirt under your finger nails!
So, this is my finished rocket!

The Silver Surfer result !
So many things happening, I can't keep track on everything!
So I failed the game analysis, just as many others did. I hope it's just some supplements and that I don't have to re-write the whole paper 'cause that would seriously suck so incredibly hard I'd probably implode.
I'll just wait until tomorrow, hope I receive a mail about wether it's about supplements or a re-write. I'll invent my own God of luck meanwhile whom I can pray to! Yes, my own religion, that'd be cool. A lot of cats should be needed for the religion, like, everyone who wants to adopt the religion must love cats, as in LOVE. Loooove. Cats!
My cat is lying next to me (and my Paradis-box of chocolate) snoring. He's so cute when he's snoring. I think he does it just because he tend to lie with his head buried in the sofa. He looks like a grey rock.
I started on our sketching techniques assignment earlier today but it turned out sooo bad. We were supposed to use greyscale (I think..?) and work a lot with volumes... err err...
So my lineart representing a man turned out to look exactly like the Silver Surfer (but uglier). Not cool at all, Silver Surfer isn't even a cool guy!!! Damn! ..
So I tried a speedpainting of a male face instead, (Notice that the painting I posted here is not the Silver Surfer one!) just to do SOME painting today (since tomorrow's workshop is cancelled, <-- aw!).

Womanette!
Updating with a little piece I did today.
I'm quite happy with the result, especially after I changed her blouse to a more pink shade. But the blouse could have been better, ah well!

Something, something... complete!
Yesterday we were tasked to use basic primitives in Maya to make simple toys. I've never used Maya before, or wait, I think I've somehow made an apple in Maya once but I don't remember what or how I did. So, class started off with our teacher teaching (that's what they're for, yup!) us how to navigate in the program. He later showed us how to make, what was supposed to be, a space rocket but since he completed step 1 twice without noticing it (I believe the whole class DID notice it, though), his rocket ended up looking like male genitals half-way through. Entertaining!
When I got home I pondered what kind of toy I wanted to make, and I came up with the rocket from Tin-Tin (yes, copy-cat me, making a rocket as well...). I've always loved that rocket, it's so pretty.
I eventually managed to model something rocket-like but then I wanted color on it!? How the heck do you put color on this piece of crap, I thought. So I asked Micke and with his help I managed to bring color into the life of the miserable rocket (that, sadly, looks nothing like the one from Tin-Tin. At least I got the checkered pattern right!).

He-he-hey!
New courses has begun and I'm as excited as ever! Too bad I didn't make it to today's sketch techniques class though, I'm really sick of SJ and their shitty trains.
It's like this every winter and yet they promise 'this winter's gonna be better with better service' and all that bullshit.
And it always happens at the worst time, too. I hardly got any sleep tonight 'cause of my neighbours (above). They are frankly idiots, and I can say that without feeling any remorse what so ever. I literally hate them and I hope Santa Claus has paid attention to their shitty behaviour and will give them no christmas gifts as a result. HA.
As I've mentioned earlier, they tend to "wake up" (start making noises at least) at 00.00. They keep on going 'til 3 a.m. to say the least.
This night there were screams, kids running back and forth, yelling.. you name it (I hate them in case I forgot to mention that).
Mom went upstairs to ask them to be quiet (shut the fuck up, is more like it) and the reply she got was something like "I don't care if you want to sleep".
That was what made me hating them official. I can't wait until I move out of this apartment, gah!
so, night was horrible with 2-3 hours of sleep. I also hurried to the trainstation at 7 a.m. just to be met by a sign that says my train is delayed by one hour "approximately". Awh come on, not today? I have been looking forward to this course for months now, damn!
So I head to Sultans which is a café located nearby. GARGIGANTIC line there 'cause of all the commuters thinking the same as me. Everyone was at least 20 years older than me and had jobs and stuff which means they could order like, whatever they felt like ordering. I couldn't. I'm (still) saving money for my trip to IKEA. They bought all these fancy sandwiches with shrips, lettuce and.. egg.. (yummm....) I WANTED ONE TOO!? All I ordered was black coffee. Although I must say that was A LOT of coffee for only 20:-, I was able to fill my (very large) glass twice before I emptied the can.
So I drank my coffee, tried to draw for a bit, just to practice but nothing came to my mind. I hate when that happens, you sit there with all the time in the world and nothing to draw. Yuk. Finally, 50 minutes had passed and I happily went back to the trainstation to board my train. Yeah right.
Delayed by another hour. I wouldn't have made it to class with that delay anyways, so I went home.
Why do I always write about how dissatisfied I am with different things, haha? Must be because when I'm not, I have other things to do (that's more fun) than write a blog. I don't like the word blog neither, it sounds like a lump of green slime falling from a balcony.
I think I'm gonna draw a picture of what I mean by that.
